How Pad works
A launchpad is a coin plus a rule about money. You create the coin, you decide how creator fees get shared, and that rule is written on chain before anyone can launch anything under it.
A launchpad
Pad launchpads are built on pump.fun. When you create one, Pad mints a coin for the launchpad itself and writes your fee split into pump's fee-sharing program. Other people can then launch their own coins under your launchpad, and every one of those coins pays out according to the split you chose.
Creating a launchpad costs 1 SOL. Launching a coin under one costs 0.1 SOL. Network and account rent are extra and go to Solana, not to Pad.
Creator fees
pump.fun pays a share of trading fees to a coin's creator. Pad splits that share between up to five recipients, and pump pays each of them directly. Pad never holds the money in between.
New launchpads use direct payouts to Pad, the launchpad owner, and each coin's launcher. A default new launchpad routes 5%, 5%, and 90% respectively. Existing pads with distributor or treasury wallets may show a recorded plan, but Pad does not execute rewards or buybacks from those wallets today.
- Pad fee
- Pad's fee wallet; no automatic buyback or burn
- Launchpad owner
- the wallet that built this pad
- Coin rewards
- the wallet reserved for planned holder payouts
- Launchpad funds
- this pad's treasury wallet; planned actions are not active
- Coin creator
- the wallet that launched this coin
Pad's own share is fixed at 5% and cannot be changed by a launchpad's owner. A launchpad owner may take between 1% and 20%. Whoever launches a coin always keeps at least 10%, which is the one number that protects someone who was not in the room when the launchpad was built.
What gets frozen
The split is written as an ordered list of recipients, and in the same instruction the config's admin is revoked. After that pump pays those recipients and nobody can edit the list, including Pad. pump refuses more than 10 recipients; Pad writes at most five.
Because the list is on chain, a coin launched under a launchpad can be checked against that launchpad's own record without trusting this site. Every share is compared entry by entry. If one does not match, it is not a launch under that launchpad.
Launch access and links
A launchpad can be open to everyone, limited to selected wallets, or require a balance of its coin or an NFT from a collection. For an NFT gate, enter the collection mint, not an individual NFT mint. Check the collection before paying: a valid address does not prove the collection exists. Pad checks holder eligibility when a coin is reserved.
An X profile link is supplied by the launchpad operator. Pad does not verify account ownership.
Custom coin addresses
Vanity patterns need a separate quote and are not available at checkout yet. The quoted add-on starts at 1 SOL on top of the 1 SOL creation fee; longer patterns may cost more. Creating a standard launchpad does not reserve a custom address. Quote requests are not open yet.
Not yet
Older launchpad configurations may record holder rewards, buybacks, and payout timing. Those are plans, not active actions. New launchpads cannot allocate fees to those wallets until their execution and receipts are built and reviewed.
